Accountant cum Salesman – Gold & Jewelry Retail - Local


🎯 Role Purpose
To manage daily accounting operations while actively engaging in sales activities, ensuring accurate financial records and delivering excellent customer service in a gold retail environment.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

Accounting Duties
- Maintain daily sales records, purchase entries, and expense tracking.
- Reconcile cash, card, and credit transactions at the end of each day.
- Prepare trial balances, ledgers, and monthly financial reports.
- Monitor stock movement and update inventory records for gold/jewelry items.
- Ensure compliance with VAT, tax filings, and local financial regulations.
- Coordinate with auditors for periodic reviews and reporting.

Sales Duties
- Greet and assist customers in selecting gold and jewelry items.
- Explain product details, purity, weight, and pricing transparently.
- Negotiate sales and close transactions while maintaining customer trust.
- Issue invoices, receipts, and certificates of authenticity.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and encourage repeat business.
- Achieve monthly sales targets set by management.

📌 Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in accounting or retail sales (preferably jewelry/gold sector).
- Strong knowledge of accounting software - ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle cash, reconcile accounts, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
- Trustworthy, detail-oriented, and customer-focused.
- Fluency in English & Arabic, Hindi is an added advantage.
