COMPANY OVERVIEW
We are a well-established and reputed sweets manufacturing company in the Kingdom of Bahrain, seeking to recruit a skilled and experienced Baklava Maker to join our production team and uphold our tradition of quality and authentic taste.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare and hand-roll baklava and other filo/pastry-based sweets to company recipe standards
• Layer, cut, bake, and finish baklava with syrup, nuts, and garnishing to ensure consistent taste and presentation
• Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards in the production area at all times
• Monitor stock of raw materials (filo pastry, nuts, ghee, sugar syrup) and report shortages in advance
• Ensure production meets daily quantity and quality targets
• Follow proper storage and shelf-life procedures for finished products
• Coordinate with the kitchen/production team and supervisor on daily production planning
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• Proven experience as a Baklava Maker or in traditional Arabic/Middle Eastern sweets preparation
• Sound knowledge of baklava varieties, dough handling, and syrup preparation
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in taste, texture, and presentation
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
• Willingness to work in shifts, including during peak seasons and festive periods
