We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented **Accountant** to join our team.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Manage day-to-day accounting operations in accordance with accounting principles and company policies.
* Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
* Ensure compliance with Bahrain accounting standards, VAT regulations, and statutory requirements.
* Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
* Reconcile bank accounts, suppliers, customers, and general ledger accounts.
* Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
* Coordinate with external auditors and provide all required schedules and supporting documentation during audits.
* Maintain proper accounting documentation and internal controls.
* Support management with financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting.

**Requirements**

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Minimum **3–5 years of accounting experience**, preferably in Bahrain.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
* Excellent understanding of **Bahrain VAT regulations** and practical experience in VAT preparation and filing.
* Previous experience working with **external auditors** during annual audits.
* Good knowledge of Bahrain commercial and financial regulations.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* Honest, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Professional communication skills in English. Arabic is an advantage.

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Professional accounting certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
* Experience in the jewellery, retail, or trading industry is preferred.
