Description

The Kitchen & Laundry Equipment Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing kitchen and laundry equipment. The role ensures all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in accordance with manufacturer specifications, company standards, and applicable safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, commission, and test kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to scheduled maintenance plans.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, gas, steam, hydraulic, and electronic faults.
• Repair and replace defective components such as motors, pumps, valves, heating elements, thermostats, bearings, belts, sensors, and control boards.
• Service equipment including ovens, ranges, fryers, grills, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, washing machines, dryers, ironers, and finishing equipment.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment schematics.
• Conduct operational and safety inspections to ensure compliance with manufacturer and regulatory requirements.
• Respond promptly to service calls and emergency breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance records, and spare parts inventory.
• Advise customers or facility personnel on proper equipment operation and routine maintenance.
• Ensure work is completed safely while following company policies and occupational health and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with supervisors, suppliers, and other maintenance personnel when major repairs or parts are required.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Refrigeration, or a related field.
• Experience servicing kitchen and/or laundry equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, motors, controls, refrigeration systems, gas appliances, plumbing, and mechanical components.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Must have Bahrain Valid driver's license.

• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage service priorities.
• Good organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergency service requests.
