Description

Key Responsibilities
1. Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing in Biochemistry, Hematology, and Clinical Pathology.
2. Ensure compliance with CAP accreditation standards, quality control, and quality assurance requirements.
3. Participate in CAP audits, documentation, corrective actions, and continuous quality improvement activities.
4. Collect blood samples through home collection services and maintain proper specimen handling and transportation.
5. Perform specimen processing, centrifugation, aliquoting, storage, and sample dispatch according to laboratory procedures.
6. Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory analyzers and equipment.
7. Review and validate laboratory results in accordance with SOPs and laboratory policies.
8. Monitor reagent inventory, consumables, and stock levels to ensure uninterrupted laboratory operations.
9. Adhere to laboratory biosafety, infection control, and waste management guidelines.
10. Participate in internal quality control (IQC), external quality assurance (EQA/PT), and instrument maintenance.
11. Maintain accurate laboratory records, documentation, and LIS entries.
12. Support physicians and clients by ensuring timely and accurate reporting of test results.
13. Perform other laboratory duties as assigned by the Laboratory Manager.

Requirements
1. Bachelor or Master Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent.
2. Valid NHRA license (mandatory).
3. Experience in CAP-accredited laboratories is preferred.
4. Hands-on experience in Biochemistry, Hematology, and Clinical Pathology.
5. Experience in phlebotomy, including home sample collection.
6. Valid Bahrain driving license.
7. Own vehicle (preferred/required).
8. Willingness to work rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
9. Good communication skills in English, Malayalam and Hindi (Arabic is an advantage).
10. Strong knowledge of laboratory quality management systems, SOPs, and patient safety.
