Experienced local hire Furniture Designer.
A furniture designer conceptualizes, drafts, and creates functional, aesthetic furnishings (e.g., sofas, chairs, and cabinets) for residential or commercial spaces. They balance visual appeal with ergonomics and manufacturing viability, transforming initial sketches into detailed production plans.
Core Responsibilities
• Concept Development: Translate client requirements or market trends into initial sketches and mood boards.
• Drafting & Modeling: Generate 2D drawings and 3D prototypes using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Sketch Up, 3ds Max).
• Material Sourcing: Select appropriate materials, such as wood, metal, plastic, or textiles, while factoring in budget and durability.
• Prototyping & Testing: Build and test physical or virtual models to ensure structural integrity and comfort before mass production.
• Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturers, craftspeople, and production managers to ensure design integrity during construction.

Key Qualifications & Skills
• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Technical Software: High proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering software (e.g., SolidWorks, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Manufacturing Knowledge: A strong understanding of joinery, production processes, and material costs.
• Creative Problem Solving: Ability to blend spatial awareness with human ergonomics
• 8 Hours Duty + Overtime
• Weekly one day off.
• Salary depending on experience. (BHD300.000 to 350.000)
• Visa, Accommodation & Transport provided by the company.
