Description

A Reservation Staff member is responsible for handling bookings, confirming reservations, and assisting customers with inquiries related to services such as hotels, airlines, restaurants, travel agencies, resorts, or event venues.

Key Responsibilities
Receive and process reservation requests by phone, email, website, or in person.
Enter booking details accurately into reservation systems.
Confirm, modify, or cancel reservations as requested by customers.
Provide information about rates, availability, services, promotions, and policies.
Maintain accurate customer and booking records.
Coordinate with other departments (front office, housekeeping, sales, operations, etc.) to ensure smooth service delivery.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve reservation-related issues.
Monitor room, seat, or service availability and optimize occupancy or utilization.
Prepare reservation reports and update management on booking status.
Follow company procedures regarding payments, deposits, and cancellations.
Required Skills
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Ability to use reservation and booking software.
Organizational and time-management skills.
Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
Basic computer proficiency (email, spreadsheets, databases).
