Purchasing Officer – FMCG Sector

We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Officer to join our team in Bahrain.

Key Responsibilities:
* Experience with packaged food, cosmetics, makeup, and personal care products is highly preferred, whether through manufacturing, distribution, sourcing, importing, category management, or retail operations.
* Manage purchasing activities for FMCG products from local and international suppliers.
* Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable commercial terms.
* Prepare and follow up on purchase orders and coordinate shipments to ensure timely delivery.
* Handle import-related documentation and supplier communications.
* Monitor inventory levels and support stock planning activities.
* Conduct market research to identify new products, suppliers, and sourcing opportunities.
* Evaluate supplier performance and identify cost-saving initiatives.
* Maintain accurate purchasing records and reports using ERP systems.

Requirements:
* Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or category management.
* Strong negotiation, supplier management, and analytical skills.
* Experience dealing with local and international suppliers.
* Knowledge of import procedures and product sourcing.
* Experience with ERP systems; Odoo ERP experience is highly preferred.
* Knowledge of international brands, market trends, product research, and new product development will be considered a strong advantage.
