Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on construction equipment and machinery
Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective repair solutions
Inspect equipment regularly to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
Carry out preventive maintenance as per scheduled plans
Maintain records of repairs, maintenance activities, and spare parts usage
Coordinate with site teams to address equipment breakdowns promptly
Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and workshop safety practices
Assist in ordering and managing spare parts and inventory
Test equipment after repairs to ensure operational efficiency
Report major faults or recurring issues to the supervisor
Ensure all work is completed in line with company safety standards and procedures

Qualifications & Requirements

Diploma or ITI certification in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a mechanic in construction or heavy equipment industry
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and mechanical systems
Experience working with construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, and generators
Ability to read technical manuals and troubleshoot faults effectively
Basic knowledge of electrical systems is an advantage
Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills
Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency breakdowns
