Job Summary

A Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the flow of goods, information, and resources from suppliers to customers. This role ensures efficient procurement, production planning, inventory control, and distribution to meet business goals.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and manage supply chain operations including procurement, logistics, and inventory
Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors
Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment
Analyze demand forecasts and adjust supply plans accordingly
Optimize transportation and distribution processes
Track shipments and resolve delays or issues
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
Use ERP systems (like SAP ERP or Oracle SCM Cloud) for data management
Prepare reports on supply chain performance and costs
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of logistics, procurement, and inventory management
Proficiency in Excel and supply chain software
Good communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
Certification such as APICS (CSCP, CPIM)
Experience with demand planning and forecasting tools
Familiarity with international shipping and customs regulations
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
On-time delivery rate
Inventory turnover
Order accuracy
Cost reduction and efficiency improvements
Work Environment
Typically office-based with coordination across warehouses and logistics teams
May require occasional travel to suppliers or distribution centers
