Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine preventive maintenance (cleaning lint filters, lubricating parts) and diagnose/repair commercial washers, dryers, and ironing systems.
• Operational Support: Install new laundry equipment, test machinery, and ensure all systems operate according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Troubleshooting: Repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing faults (e.g., pumps, valves, motors) to reduce machine downtime.
• Inventory Control: Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors to secure materials for repairs.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to health, safety, and fire regulations, including checking dryer exhausts and maintaining safe chemical usage for cleaning.
• Operational Coordination: Train staff on proper equipment usage, maintain maintenance logs, and assist with sorting/loading/unloading tasks during peak times.
Core Competencies & Requirements:
• Technical Skill: Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in industrial or commercial laundry machinery.
• Knowledge: Understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, and chemical cleaning agents.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials and work with machinery.
• Efficiency: Ability to work quickly and prioritize urgent repairs to prevent laundry backlogs
