QA/QC Engineer – Interior Fit Outs

Duties and responsibilities
• Reviewing the quality of materials and workmanship on site and its accordance with the quality specifications provided therein.
• Preparation & review of material submittals, method statements, ITPs, and other QA/QC documentation.
• Conducting internal inspections and instructing the Project Engineer/ Construction manager, etc. to rectify all observations.
• Raising material & work inspection requests (MIR/ WIR) & coordinating with Clients/ Consultants for the inspections and approvals on site.
• Preparation of project specific quality plans.
• Handling other QA/QC documents such as certificates, test results, non-compliance reports, site instructions, etc.
• Assisting the document controller in maintaining the logs for all the project documents such as material submittals, method statements, ITPs, test reports, NCRs, etc.
• Preparation of daily/ monthly QA/QC reports.
• Conducting regular on-site inspections and audits to verify the application of relevant procedures, guidelines and making appropriate recommendations to correct discrepancies.
• Preparing site instructions/ observation reports, and reporting deviations to the Project Engineer, Project Manager and Sr. QA/QC Engineer.
• Monitoring the actions against site observation report and raising NCR if there are no actions.
• Managing & supporting other QA/QC processes & procedures in liaison with the Sr. Quality Engineer.

Qualification:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or) Architecture.
• IRCA Lead auditors (ISO 9001:2015) Certificate (optional but preferred).
• Min of 08 to 10 years of experience in a QA/QC function in an interior fit-out/ construction company, specializing in architectural works.
• Experience with QA/QC activities and inspections on contractor side/ supervision sites.
• Understanding of local & international engineering standards and codes.
• Knowledge of construction supervision services.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Fluency in English language.
• Excellent IT skills- especially in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) as well as AutoCAD.
• Good communication/ coordination with Clients & Consultants team of Engineers & Architects.
