Senior Accountant (F&B Industry)

Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the F&B sector, including food costing, inventory management, and local tax compliance. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all accounts and managing timely VAT filings in accordance with Bahrain's NBR regulations.
Key Responsibilities
• VAT & Compliance: Manage quarterly/monthly VAT filings and ensure full compliance with Bahrain tax laws. Stay updated on the 2026 E-invoicing mandates.
• F&B Cost Control: Analyze food and beverage costs, perform variance analysis, and identify areas for cost-saving without compromising quality.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for senior management.
• Inventory Management: Oversee monthly physical stock counts across all outlets and reconcile with the accounting system (e.g., Tally, Microsoft Dynamics, or ZenPOS,Zoho, Odoo).
• Audit Coordination: Lead the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
• Accounts Management: Supervise AP/AR, payroll (GOSI), and bank reconciliations.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is highly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years specifically in the F&B or Hospitality sector in Bahrain.
• Technical Skills: * Expertise in Bahrain VAT regulations and filing procedures.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, or Oracle).
• Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs).
• Local Knowledge: Strong understanding of Bahrain’s Labor Law, LMRA, and GOSI processes.
