Key Responsibilities

Organize, manage, and supervise all civil and structural site operations in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and established timelines.
Examine IFC and shop drawings to verify correctness, buildability, and compliance with design intent and contractual obligations.
Oversee major construction activities such as excavation works, foundation systems, reinforced concrete structures, masonry works, finishing activities, and external developments.
Coordinate daily site operations with subcontractors, suppliers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure smooth and efficient project execution.
Inspect formwork installation, reinforcement placement, concrete pouring, and finishing works to confirm compliance with approved standards and testing requirements.
Ensure materials, workmanship quality, and construction methodologies meet project specifications and recognized industry practices.
Monitor labor productivity, equipment utilization, and overall construction progress against approved schedules and milestones.
Liaise with consultants, project managers, and client representatives for inspections, approvals, and resolution of technical queries.
Prepare and submit daily site reports, inspection requests (IRs), site instructions, and other required documentation.
Support the preparation and review of method statements, material approvals, work permits, and other technical submissions.
Identify design discrepancies, site challenges, and potential schedule delays, and propose practical corrective solutions.
Ensure compliance with project QA/QC procedures and HSE regulations to maintain safe and quality-controlled site operations.
Coordinate with planning and quantity surveying teams to track quantities, productivity, and material usage.
Maintain accurate records of construction progress, inspections, and material consumption for reporting and auditing purposes.
Promote teamwork, discipline, and continuous improvement among site staff and subcontractor personnel.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
6-10 years of relevant experience managing civil and structural works, preferably in building or infrastructure projects.
Strong technical expertise in reinforced concrete works, rebar detailing, formwork systems, finishing trades, and general construction methods.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office applications, with working knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent planning software.
Familiarity with international codes and standards such as ACI, BS, ASTM, and related technical specifications.
Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational capabilities with solid site supervision experience.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a proactive, results-driven approach.
Good understanding of QA/QC systems, inspection procedures, and HSE compliance requirements.
Previous GCC experience and a valid driving license will be considered advantageous.
