Description

- Inspecting and preparing loads that need to be moved.

· Carry out pre use inspection on rigging gears and equipment before lifting .

· Carry out post use inspection of rigging gears and equipment after lifting.

· Selecting the appropriate rigging gear.

· Report any defective or damaged rigging gears to the supervisor.

· Preparing rigging equipment including beams, pulleys, clamps, and bolts.

· Ensuring rigging gears and equipment are third party certified prior to use.

· Monitoring and maintaining rigging equipment.

· Participate in daily tool box and pre start meetings.

· Ensuring compliance with state and company safety procedures.

· Communicating with the rigging and construction team.

· Use standard hand signals and radio to communicate with operator.

· Barricade lifting area to prevent unauthorized entry during lifting operations.

· Ensure tag lines are used before lifting any load.
