A reputable Group of Companies in Bahrain is looking for a GROUP CHIEF ACCOUNTANT.

Role Profile:

• Reporting to Group General Manager, you will have high visibility across the Organization and active involvement with functional heads.
• Highly autonomous role primarily responsible for the financial integrity of the Organization and support continuous development and improvement of the financial functions.

Performance Measurement:

• Accounting & financial records / reports / statements are accurate & timely;
• Profitable growth of the business is achieved by providing strategic financial input to Top Management to facilitate decision making; ensure clarity of business performance, KPIs, & performance analysis; driving initiatives to improve financial stability, reduce costs, and optimize capital employed;
• Annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes are undertaken.
• External audits are conducted on time by professional bodies ensuring the figures are correct in line with the guidelines & approvals; facilitating the process of peer reviews and following up on issues raised during the audit;
• Significant contribution to the formulation, implementation, and administration of corporate-wide policies to achieve Organizational objectives;
• Information Systems are up-to-date, capable of meeting current needs, and adaptable to future requirements; ensure information needs are accurately identified and appropriately met;
• Corporate assets are safeguarded, preserved, and expanded through effective internal accounting and financial controls; ensure the smooth implementation and integration of current and future acquisitions;
• Liaise with Banks, Financial Institutions, Corporates, and specific Business Units and ensure Corporate Governance and Group accounting policies are adhered to;
• Team members are effectively supervised to achieve optimum performance;
• Functions across other subsidiary companies are well coordinated.

Qualifications:

• Professional Qualification: CPA, CA, CMA, ACA ACCA, CIMA
• Proven track record of at least 5 years in the same capacity preferably in retail sales & service, and trading industries
• Excellent knowledge in the areas of financial accounting, management accounting, and MIS reporting
• Excellent knowledge of ERP systems
• Excellent analytical, planning, and communication skills
• Team player and team leader
• Highly organized & proactive, effective time management
