Position - Project Engineer - Construction

Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & Coordination

Assist in preparing project schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and manpower plans.
Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers for smooth project execution.
Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, and method statements.
2. Site Execution & Supervision

Supervise day-to-day site activities related to structural, architectural, and finishing works.
Ensure work is completed as per approved drawings, material specifications, and QA/QC standards.
Monitor high-rise specific activities including:
✔ Core wall & shear wall works
✔ Raft foundation & piling interface
✔ Slab casting cycle (jump form / table form / slip form)
✔ MEP coordination in high-rise shafts

3. Material & Resource Management

Prepare material requisitions, follow up on deliveries, and verify material compliance.
Coordinate with procurement for high-rise-specific materials (post tensioning, fa?ade systems, etc.).
Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, equipment, and machinery.
4. Quality Assurance & Safety

Implement QA/QC standards (BS, ACI, ASTM) and ensure proper documentation.
Conduct site inspections and coordinate with QA/QC engineers for approvals.
Ensure adherence to HSE standards, toolbox talks, and safety procedures.
5. Progress Monitoring & Reporting

Track daily progress, identify delays, and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project reports.
Support the Project Manager with project updates, delay notices, and variation claims.
6. Subcontractor Coordination

Review subcontractor work schedules and monitor progress.
Conduct site meetings to resolve technical and execution issues.
Verify subcontractor measurement sheets for payment certification.
Key Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of structural and finishing works in high-rise buildings.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera (P6).
Strong understanding of construction codes: ACI, AISC, BS Standards.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams on large projects.
Preferred Experience

High-rise towers, commercial complexes, or mixed-use developments (20+ floors).
Structural works including slip form, raft foundations, post-tension slabs.
Coordination of MEP services in high-rise buildings.
Fa?ade / curtain wall coordination.
