Description

1. Position Overview

The Gas Mechanic is responsible for performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety checks for LPG cylinders, regulators, piping, and related equipment. The role ensures all LPG operations comply with Bahrain safety and regulatory standards.
A valid driving license is an added advantage for assisting with deliveries when required.

2. Key Responsibilities
A. Mechanical & Technical Tasks

Install and replace LPG cylinders, regulators, gas hoses, valves, and related components.

Conduct leak tests, pressure checks, and safety inspections at customer sites.

Troubleshoot and repair gas equipment issues, including regulators, burners, pipes, and fittings.

Assist in setting up new gas connections for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.

Inspect cylinders and equipment for damage, defects, expiry, or non-compliance.

Maintain tools, equipment, and safety materials in good working condition.

B. Safety Compliance

Follow all company SOPs for LPG handling, installation, and maintenance.

Ensure compliance with Bahrain Civil Defense and MOIC safety regulations.

Always wear required PPE and follow safe working practices.

Report any unsafe conditions, leaks, or hazards immediately.

Maintain strict hygiene and safety standards at customer locations.

C. Customer Service

Interact professionally with customers during installation or maintenance visits.

Explain safe LPG usage, cylinder handling, and preventive safety measures.

Attend customer complaints and resolve technical issues promptly.

Maintain documentation, service reports, and feedback records.

D. Additional (Driving – If Required)

(Driving license is a plus but not mandatory)

Assist in gas cylinder delivery if needed.

Ensure safe handling and loading/unloading of gas cylinders.

Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety (if assigned).

3. Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in LPG installation or mechanical gas-related work.

Strong knowledge of LPG systems, regulators, valves, piping, and safety procedures.

Ability to perform leak detection, pressure tests, and basic system repairs.

Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy cylinders (15–45 kg).



Safety-conscious, disciplined, and reliable.

Valid Bahrain driving license is an added advantage

4. Preferred Skills

Experience in a gas distribution company or LPG service industry.

Basic equipment troubleshooting skills.

Knowledge of Bahrain safety standards and regulations.

Ability to work independently and handle field tasks.

5. Working Conditions

Outdoor and field-based work.

Involves heavy lifting and physical activity.

Shift or on-call duty may be required based on customer demand.

PPE and uniform will be provided by the company.
