Description

Operate the beam saw / panel saw machine to cut wood panels, boards or other materials to precise dimensions

Read cutting lists, blueprints, shop drawings, and interpret specifications

Set up and adjust machine parameters: blade position, feed rate, cutting speed

Inspect raw materials and finished cuts for quality and accuracy

Perform routine maintenance: clean saw tables, lubricate moving parts, replace saw blades

Troubleshoot minor issues (blade alignment, vibration, feed problems)

Ensure safe operations: follow safety protocols, use PPE, guard safety devices

Handle material movement: loading/unloading boards, aligning panels

Maintain records: production counts, material usage, machine maintenance logs

Maintain good housekeeping in the saw area
