Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering, Accounting, or a related field

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of experience in cost estimation, production planning, or pricing within the plastic manufacturing or industrial sector

💡 Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing production costs, preparing accurate quotations, and ensuring competitive yet profitable pricing for products and projects in the plastic manufacturing industry.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

✅ Analyze drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements to estimate material, labor, and overhead costs.
✅ Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations for molded, extruded, or fabricated plastic products.
✅ Coordinate with the production, procurement, and sales teams to collect and verify cost-related data.
✅ Evaluate raw material prices, machine run times, tooling costs, and manpower requirements.
✅ Maintain and update a database of material costs, suppliers, and standard operating expenses.
✅ Assist management in pricing strategies to ensure profitability and market competitiveness.
✅ Identify potential cost-saving opportunities in materials, processes, or production methods.
✅ Review job performance against estimates to improve accuracy and efficiency in future projects.
✅ Support the finance department in budget preparation and cost control initiatives.
✅ Prepare reports and cost summaries for management review.

🧠 Skills & Competencies:

Strong analytical and numerical skills

In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and costing methods

Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and cost estimation software

Attention to detail with high accuracy

Good communication and teamwork skills

Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple projects
