Job Title: Civil Foreman

Department: Construction / Site Operations
Reports To: Site Engineer / Project Manager

Job Summary:

The Civil Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of construction workers on-site, ensuring that all civil works are carried out according to project specifications, safety standards, and within the scheduled timeframe. The role involves hands-on supervision, planning, and monitoring of site activities to achieve high-quality results efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the work of civil construction crews (masonry, formwork, concrete, finishing, etc.).

Ensure that all work is executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety regulations.

Plan daily work activities and allocate tasks to workers to meet project timelines.

Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and specifications are met.

Coordinate with Site Engineers and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and prevent delays.

Monitor the use of materials and equipment on-site, ensuring proper usage and minimal waste.

Maintain accurate daily records of manpower, materials used, and work progress.

Enforce safety rules and report any unsafe practices or incidents to the safety officer or project manager.

Attend daily coordination meetings to report progress and discuss issues or requirements.

Assist in training and developing workers’ skills and work performance.

Qualifications and Skills:

Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction (preferably in buildings, infrastructure, or concrete works).

Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.

Ability to read and interpret civil and structural drawings.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.

Knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Working Conditions:

Based on-site (outdoor work environment).

May require extended hours, weekend, or shift work depending on project needs.

Must be currently residing in Bahrain with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the same field.
