Description

Key Responsibilities

Assist in preparing accurate quantity take-offs and measurements for Civil, Structural, and MEP works using IFC and shop drawings.

Support the preparation and review of Bills of Quantities (BOQs) in line with project specifications.

Contribute to developing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents under senior QS guidance.

Assist in evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations and preparing comparison statements.

Monitor material usage, labor costs, and project expenditures, reporting variances to the Senior QS.

Help in preparing interim payment applications, progress valuations, and variation claims.

Maintain organized project documentation, including contracts, invoices, and correspondence.

Ensure compliance with contract terms, project requirements, and industry standards.

Provide assistance in the preparation of financial reports, cost forecasts, and cash flow statements.

Coordinate with procurement, planning, and site teams to ensure alignment of cost and project execution.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.

3- 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor (internship or junior role in GCC preferred).

Familiarity with Civil and MEP works measurement and cost estimation.

Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and basic knowledge of cost management software (CostX, Planswift, or similar).

Good understanding of BOQs, contract administration, and tendering procedures.

Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
