Description

A Travel Agent assists clients in planning and booking travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, tours, and transportation. They provide expert advice to ensure clients have smooth and enjoyable travel experiences.


**Key Responsibilities:**
- Consult with clients to determine their travel needs, preferences, and budgets.
- Research and recommend travel destinations, accommodations, and activities.
- Book flights, hotels, rental cars, and tour packages on behalf of clients.
- Provide detailed travel itineraries and travel documentation.
- Stay updated on travel restrictions, visa requirements, and industry trends.
- Offer travel advice, including safety tips and travel insurance options.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain relationships with airlines, hotels, and other travel service providers.
- Process payments and manage travel documents securely.

**Qualifications & Skills:**
- Proven experience as a Travel Agent or in a related role.
- Strong knowledge of travel destinations, booking systems, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work with multiple clients and manage bookings efficiently.
- Proficiency in MS Office and travel booking software (e.g., Sabre, Amadeus).
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.

**Educational Requirements:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality, tourism, or related fields is preferred.
- Certification from recognized travel industry associations (e.g., CLIA, IATA) is advantageous.
