Role Overview:
The role holder is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization’s cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on AWS services. This includes overseeing cloud storage systems, compute resources, networking, and security configurations. The role also involves optimizing performance, ensuring high availability, and maintaining compliance with industry best practices.
You will be accountable for deploying and managing cloud-based architectures, troubleshooting cloud service issues, and handling the lifecycle of cloud resources, including monitoring, patching, licensing, and upgrades. Additionally, you will ensure that appropriate proactive measures are in place to mitigate and respond to potential issues, such as service outages, security vulnerabilities, or zero-day exploits.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the transition planning and handover of AWS accounts, services, and billing setup of Core systems from Core vendor.

Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions (primarily on AWS) including compute, storage, networking, and security services.

Architect and manage hybrid environments, integrating physical, virtual, on-prem, and cloud resources.

Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of cloud and on-prem infrastructure in alignment with security baselines and best practices.

Plan, implement, and manage cloud-native storage and backup solutions (e.g., Amazon S3, EBS, Glacier, Backup).

Conduct capacity planning and resource optimization across cloud and on-premise systems.

Automate infrastructure provisioning and monitoring using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).

Implement and monitor cloud security controls, including IAM policies, encryption, security groups, and compliance frameworks.

Manage cloud service cost optimization, licensing, and usage tracking across multiple environments.

Monitor system health and performance, perform troubleshooting for cloud infrastructure and backup failures, and lead root cause analysis.

Create and maintain runbooks, architectural diagrams, and documentation for cloud infrastructure and operational processes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to resolve technical issues, enhance cloud infrastructure, and align with evolving project needs.

Participate in the evaluation, testing, and deployment of new cloud services or features, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and security standards.

Provide regular updates and reports on cloud resource utilization, backup success rates, and operational risks to leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements:
-
5–8 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure and cloud architecture, including at least 3 years of hands-on experience in AWS, with proven ability to design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud solutions.

Strong experience with multi-account AWS environments, cost control, and billing management.

Experienced in AWS Services like Compute, Storage, Backup, IAM, Cloud watch, Lambda etc.

Experienced in IaaS - Cloud formation

Experienced in AWS services like Security Groups, NACL, Palo Alto firewall etc
-
Experienced in cloud Security - WAF implementation, Key management, SSL Certificate management
-
Expertise in Linux (Red Hat)

AWS certification (Solutions Architect – Professional or Associate) preferred.

Strong communication and documentation skills.
