Description

Key Responsibilities:
Operate manual and CNC machines (lathe, milling, drilling, grinding) to fabricate or repair mechanical parts.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.

Perform precision measurements using instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges.

Set up machines, select appropriate tools, and adjust settings for efficient machining operations.

Carry out machining of shafts, flanges, sleeves, bushes, and threads as per specifications.

Perform repair or modification of damaged parts as instructed by supervisors.

Conduct routine maintenance of machine tools and ensure cleanliness and order in the workshop.

Work with minimum supervision and coordinate with maintenance and production teams for urgent jobs.

Adhere strictly to safety standards, permit-to-work systems, and PPE usage during all activities.

Maintain accurate logs of completed jobs, time taken, and materials used.
