Job Summary:

Responsible for the operation, setup, maintenance, and minor troubleshooting of plastic film extrusion and cutter machines. The technician ensures smooth machine performance, product quality, and adherence to safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor plastic film extrusion and cutter machines.

Perform machine setup and changeovers as per production requirements.

Inspect finished film rolls for thickness, clarity, and cutting accuracy.

Conduct regular preventive maintenance and basic repairs on machinery.

Troubleshoot minor mechanical and electrical issues and escalate major faults.

Maintain clean and safe work areas around machines.

Record production data, maintenance activities, and report anomalies to supervisors.

Collaborate with quality control and maintenance teams to ensure product standards.

Follow safety procedures and report potential hazards promptly.

Requirements:

Prefer Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Technology.

Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience operating plastic film or similar machinery.

Basic knowledge of machine mechanics, controls, and maintenance practices.

Ability to interpret technical manuals, drawings, and work instructions.

Good physical condition; ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.

Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Willingness to work in shifts and adapt to production demands.
