Description

Position Needed:** Experienced Dairy Chemist / Dairy Technologist**
Specialization: Laban, Milk Cream, Yoghurt, and Labneh Production

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dairy Chemist or Dairy Technologist to join our team and lead the development and production of traditional and value-added dairy products. The ideal candidate should have deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience in formulating and producing high-quality Laban, Milk Cream (Qishta), Yoghurt, and Labneh, with a strong understanding of both artisanal and industrial-scale processes.

Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize recipes and production methods for Laban, yoghurt, cream, and Labneh.

Ensure product consistency, taste, texture, and quality meet market standards and regulatory requirements.

Oversee quality control protocols including microbial, chemical, and physical analysis of products.

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to fermentation, texture stability, and shelf life.

Collaborate with marketing and operations to scale up products from pilot to full-scale production.

Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP, ISO, GMP, etc.).




Required Qualifications:
Degree in Dairy Science, Food Technology, Biochemistry, or related field.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in dairy processing, particularly in fermented milk products.

Proven experience in formulating traditional Middle Eastern dairy products.

Strong understanding of dairy microbiology, enzymes, starter cultures, and emulsification processes.

Familiarity with equipment used in pasteurization, fermentation, separation, and cooling.



Preferred Attributes:
Knowledge of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dairy traditions.

Ability to innovate and create value-added dairy products.

Experience in shelf-life testing and packaging solutions.
