Description

A Pipe Fitter is responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems that carry water, steam, chemicals, or gases in industrial and commercial settings. The role requires precision, technical knowledge, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret piping diagrams and blueprints.
• Cut, bend, and assemble pipes using hand tools or machines.
• Install pipe systems and related equipment such as valves, supports, and fittings.
• Perform welding, brazing, or soldering as needed.
• Inspect and test piping systems for leaks and proper function.
• Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on existing systems.
• Follow all safety standards and regulations during installation and maintenance.

Required Skills:
• Strong understanding of piping systems and installation techniques.
• Ability to work accurately with measuring tools and technical drawings.
• Proficient in using pipe fitting tools and machinery.
• Knowledge of safety standards and practices.
• Team player with good communication and problem-solving skills.
