A leading Company in the Kingdom Of Bahrain seeks employ Senior Accountant

Job Responsibilities:
* Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable transactions.
* Supervising day to day accounting transactions and produce error free report as per management requirement.
* Spot weaknesses in systems & procedures, suggest ways to bridge the gaps to improve on internal controls to mitigate errors.
* Preparation of Journal vouchers and reconciliation with the general ledger.
* Scheduling payments to suppliers and checking of supplier payments.
* Assist Accounts manager to improve accounting systems and procedures.
* Supervise accounting assistant and guide him on day to day works.
* Assist Accounts manager in the month closing and reporting,
* Assist Accounts manager in year-end closing of Books and in the audit of financial statements.
* Participate in producing yearly budgeting and periodical review of actual vs budget.
* Monitor and reconcile staff related payments and recoveries.
* Oversee petty cash function and ensuring adequate cash balances within the business units.
* Assist with monthly VAT return.
* Liaising with internal audit team to complete the internal audit of division.
* Support other management team on finance related matters.
* Correct recording of VAT input and discharge of VAT liability, submission of VAT related information

Qualification & Experience:
• The ideal candidate would have minimum 5-6 years of relevant experience as Senior Accountant
• Excellent English communication in both written and verbal English
• The candidate should be a go getter, and an effective team player, capable of managing team members, who loves problem solving and being proactive.
• An Accounting Degree or equivalent must have been completed for you to be selected for this position.
• Good knowledge in Bahrain VAT filing & preparation of yearly balance sheet
