Central Kitchen Manager
Company: A well-established food company with multiple outlets across the Kingdom
We are seeking a Central Kitchen Manager to lead and inspire the culinary team, ensuring efficient and effective management of all central kitchen operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Team Management:
o Provide hands-on leadership and active participation in daily kitchen operations.
o Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
o Mentor, train, and supervise kitchen staff for optimal performance and development.
2. Menu Development and Innovation:
o Collaborate with the culinary team to develop, refine, and innovate menu items.
o Maintain consistency and quality in menu items.
o Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate them into menu planning.
3. Operational Excellence:
o Oversee all daily kitchen operations (food preparation, production, distribution).
o Ensure timely and efficient service.
o Implement and maintain efficient workflows and processes to optimize productivity.
4. Inventory and Purchasing Management:
o Manage daily orders to the purchasing department, ensuring accurate inventory control.
o Ensure cost-effective procurement.
o Monitor and manage food costs, minimizing waste and maximizing profitability.
5. Production Planning and Execution:
o Receive and process orders from various outlets.
o Create detailed production schedules and assign tasks to section heads.
o Ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of all orders.
6. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
o Maintain strict adherence to cleanliness, sanitation, and production policies.
o Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
o Implement and enforce quality control measures for consistent food quality.
7. Administrative and Computer Proficiency:
o Utilize computer applications for inventory management, production planning, and reporting.
o Generate and maintain accurate production sheets.
8. Communication:
o Effectively communicate with team members, suppliers, and other departments.
o Communicate with all outlets in a clear and concise manner.
o Maintain excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Central Kitchen Manager.
• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and organizational abilities.
• Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Thorough understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Proficiency in computer applications (inventory management software, spreadsheets).
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including different shifts.
• Valid driver's license (preferred).
