Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations. You will play a key role in supporting the accounting department by maintaining accurate financial statements and assisting with various accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Bookkeeping
o Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, assisting with balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
o Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis.
o Ensure financial reports comply with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Data Entry in Tally Software.
2. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
o Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
o Review invoices and payment requests for accuracy and completeness.
o Monitor outstanding payments and follow up on overdue accounts.
3. Bank Reconciliations:
o Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
o Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
4. General Ledger Maintenance:
o Maintain and update the general leader, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
o Post journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.
5. Tax Compliance:
o Assist with tax filings, including VAT/GST returns, income tax returns, and other tax-related documentation.
o Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations.
6. Budgeting and Forecasting:
o Assist in the preparation and management of the company’s budget.
o Provide financial insights and recommendations based on budget analysis and forecasts.
7. Audit Support:
o Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
o Implement corrective actions based on audit findings.
8. Financial Analysis:
o Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost-saving or revenue enhancement.
o Provide detailed financial analysis to management for decision-making.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software Tally
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• B. Com
• Experience with VAT / tax preparation and compliance.
• Experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
