Position Overview:
The Logistic Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the logistics operations for the procurement, storage, transportation, and distribution of solar energy materials and equipment. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that solar energy projects are supplied with the necessary resources on time and within budget, while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate should bring a solid background in logistics management, specifically in renewable or solar energy sectors, and possess the ability to handle the complexities of international logistics in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supply Chain Coordination: Manage the full spectrum of logistics operations, including inbound and outbound shipments, inventory management, storage, and distribution for solar energy projects.
• Vendor & Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, transporters, and service providers. Negotiate rates, delivery timelines, and ensure all contracts align with company goals and project requirements.
• Inventory Management: Ensure efficient tracking and management of all inventory related to solar projects, guaranteeing stock levels meet project timelines without causing overstocking or shortages.
• Shipping & Transportation: Plan, schedule, and optimize the transport of materials and equipment to and from project sites, ensuring all shipments meet regulatory and project requirements. Handle transportation logistics in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
• Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all logistics processes adhere to local and international regulatory standards, including customs compliance, import/export protocols, and environmental regulations. Maintain accurate documentation for shipping, tracking, and customs clearance.
• Cost Control & Budgeting: Monitor logistics budgets, reduce costs by optimizing transportation methods, and identify opportunities for more efficient logistics strategies without compromising quality or timelines.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks, such as transportation delays or customs complications, and provide solutions to mitigate disruptions in the supply chain.
• Reporting & Performance Analysis: Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to delivery schedules, inventory turnover, cost savings, and supplier performance. Provide regular reports to management to support decision-making processes.
• Project Support: Collaborate with project managers to align logistics strategies with project milestones and delivery timelines, ensuring smooth execution of solar energy projects from start to finish.

Key Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, ideally within the renewable energy or solar sector.
• Certifications: Certifications in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma, or similar) are preferred but not mandatory.
