Description

Job Purpose
The Retail Banking Direct Sales Agent is responsible for driving the sales of retail banking products, including savings accounts, current accounts, fixed deposits, credit cards, and loans.

The role involves identifying potential customers, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions that meet their financial goals. The agent will work to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the bank's retail banking segment. Also, to promote, educate and sell prospect customers of Retail Banking Products and Services and assist them to complete the application.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
1- Sales & Promotion
- Lead, manage, and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve individual and team sales goals.
- Actively promote and sell retail banking products to prospective customers through various channels (face-to-face, telemarketing, events, etc.).

2- Customer Acquisition
- Identify and approach potential customers in targeted areas or demographics to open new accounts or take up banking products.

3- Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and retention. Provide excellent customer service by addressing queries and concerns.

4- Product Knowledge
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all retail banking products and services. Educate customers on the benefits and features of the products.

5- Sales Targets
- Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs set by the management.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales goals.
6- Market Research
- Conduct market research to identify potential leads and understand customer needs. Provide feedback to the product development team on customer preferences and market trends.
7- Compliance
- Ensure all sales activities comply with the bank's policies, procedures, and regulations, including KYC (Know Your Customer) and anti-money laundering (AML) guidelines.

8- Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and customer interactions. Prepare regular reports on sales performance and customer feedback for management review.
9- Handle & performs all other duties & responsibilities assigned by Sales Manager or Department Head

Qualifications, Eligibility Skills & Requirements
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. OR
• Banking, Accounting, Finance Diploma with proven experience in a sales leadership role, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.

Experience
Previous experience in sales will be an advantage, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.

Communication Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present products and services clearly and persuasively.

Sales Skills
Proven ability to meet sales targets, negotiate effectively, and close deals.

Customer Service
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.

Product Knowledge
In-depth understanding of retail banking products and financial markets.

Self-Motivated
Highly motivated with a proactive approach to sales and customer service.

IT Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft
