All-Rounder Baker / Chef Needed

We are a vibrant, plant-based and gluten-free bakery and elixir bar, dedicated to crafting supercharged, health-forward treats and elixirs that support wellness and delight the senses. Our menu is designed to elevate health, beauty, and well-being with every bite, and we’re looking for a passionate all-rounder baker or chef to join our team!

Position Summary:

As an all-rounder baker/chef, you’ll play a vital role in producing our unique, plant-based, gluten-free, and refined sugar-free products. We’re looking for someone who has an open mind about creating superfood-infused recipes and can bring culinary creativity to our offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

1.⁠ ⁠Baking & Food Preparation:

Prepare and bake a variety of gluten-free, plant-based pastries, cakes, and treats according to recipes and standards.
Maintain consistency and quality control of baked goods such as breads, cookies and all baked goods.
Prepare elixirs, smoothies, acai bowls and other beverages.
2.⁠ ⁠Chocolate Preparation

Work with stone-ground chocolate, including melting, tempering, and crafting chocolate-based treats.
Ensure chocolate consistency and quality are maintained for products like bars, truffles, and chocolate toppings.
3.⁠ ⁠Recipe Development & Adaptation

Collaborate with the team to develop new plant-based recipes that align with our health-focused philosophy.
Adapt and refine existing recipes to improve flavor, texture, and presentation while keeping them plant-based and gluten-free.
4.⁠ ⁠Kitchen Management

Ensure the kitchen and preparation areas are clean, organized, and up to health and safety standards.
Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing ingredients properly.
Keep track of ingredient stock levels and assist with ordering supplies.
5.⁠ ⁠Quality Control & Presentation

Ensure every product is visually appealing and meets our presentation standards.
Conduct regular quality checks for taste, freshness, and consistency.
6.⁠ ⁠Customer Interaction (as needed)

Engage with customers, providing friendly and knowledgeable responses to inquiries about ingredients, dietary restrictions, and wellness benefits.
Occasionally assist front-of-house staff to ensure a smooth customer experience.
7.⁠ ⁠Continuous Improvement

Stay updated on plant-based and gluten-free baking techniques, trends, and superfood ingredients.
Bring creative ideas for enhancing our offerings and expanding the menu with wellness-focused items.
Qualifications:

Experience with chocolate preparation, including tempering and chocolate-based dessert creation.
Proven experience as a baker, pastry chef, or chef, with a strong interest in plant-based and gluten-free cuisine.
Knowledge of gluten-free and plant-based ingredients, with an understanding of alternative baking methods.
Passionate about health, wellness, and creating delicious, nourishing food.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when needed.
