Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Forklift Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining LPG and Diesel forklifts, ensuring their optimal performance and safety. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as a commitment to following safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and Repair Mechanical and Electrical Failures: Identify issues in LPG and Diesel forklifts and perform necessary repairs to restore functionality.

Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance checks, maintain PM tracking, and update equipment history cards to ensure longevity and reliability.

Engine and Transmission Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of forklift engines and drive transmission assemblies.

Hydraulic System Repairs: Address issues related to hydraulic systems, including pumps and cylinders, to ensure efficient operation.

Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to vehicle and industrial safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment.

Technical Documentation: Consult forklift manuals to identify required spare parts and facilitate accurate ordering when necessary.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a forklift mechanic or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of LPG and Diesel forklift systems.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical failures.
Experience with hydraulic systems and components.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
