Vacancy: Junior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join our chain of retail shops (Make is referred). The ideal candidate should have good foundation in accounting principles and hands-on experience with Tally ERP software.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting, Bookkeeping and Financial Management:
a) Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.
b) Record journal entries and reconcile accounts on a regular basis.
c) Record and reconcile daily sales, cash, and credit transactions.
d) Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
e) Prepare and analyze retail performance reports, including sales, profit margins, and stock turnover.
f) Handle point-of-sale (POS) system integration with financial records.
g) Assist in preparing financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.

2. Tally Operations:
a) Manage accounts using Tally ERP, including data entry, generating reports, and financial analysis.
b) Handle inventory, billing, and GST entries in Tally.

3. VAT and Compliance:
a) Ensure compliance with applicable vat laws and regulations.
b) Assist in preparing vat filings.

4. Other Duties:
a) Support the accountant team in all financial planning an task.
b) Handle petty cash transactions and prepare expense reports.

Qualifications and Skills:
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Experience: 2–4 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in retail or similar industry with proven expertise in Tally ERP.
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
4. Proficiency in Excel.
