Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and GCC experienced Site Engineer in civil works to join our team. The Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all on-site civil engineering activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with quality standards. The role requires technical proficiency, leadership, and a commitment to maintaining safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Site Supervision: Oversee all civil engineering works on-site, including foundation, structural, and finishing work.
• Project Planning: Assist in planning the project schedule, resources, and milestones; work closely with the Project Manager to ensure timely progress.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all materials used and work performed meet industry standards, codes, and specifications.
• Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all site personnel.
• Resource Management: Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and manpower.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, site measurements, and material usage. Prepare reports and documentation as required.
• Technical Assistance: Provide technical advice and resolve site issues promptly.
• Liaison: Act as a point of contact between site personnel, consultants, and project managers to facilitate smooth project execution.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in site engineering, with a strong background in civil construction projects.
Skills and Competencies:
• Technical Knowledge: Proficient in civil engineering principles, building codes, and construction management.
• Project Management Tools: Familiar with project management software (e.g., MS Project) and CAD software for technical drawings.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify, analyze, and solve site-related issues promptly and effectively.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with team members and stakeholders.
• Leadership: Capable of supervising and motivating site staff, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
• Attention to Detail: High degree of precision and accuracy in performing quality checks and documentation.
Additional Requirements:
• Physical Stamina: Willingness to work in outdoor conditions and withstand the physical demands of the job.
• Driver’s License: Valid GCC license for site access as required.
• Availability: Flexibility to work weekends and extended hours when necessary to meet project deadlines.
