Job Title: Electric Technician - Aluminum and Steel Factory
Location: Bahrain
Job Type: Full-time
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Electric Technician with experience in industrial electrical systems, particularly in aluminum and steel factories. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and machinery.
2. Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform root cause analysis.
3. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, including inspections and testing.
4. Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
5. Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
6. Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
7. Perform electrical testing and commissioning.
8. Assist in upgrading and modifying existing electrical systems.
9. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
10. Provide technical support and training to junior technicians.
Requirements:
1. Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Technology.
2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Electric Technician in an industrial setting, preferably in an aluminum and steel factory.
3. GCC experience is mandatory.
4. Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including medium voltage systems.
5. Familiarity with electrical safety procedures and regulations (e.g., NFPA 70, IEC 60364).
6. Proficient in using electrical testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes).
7. Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
8. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
9. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
10. Valid driving license (optional).
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
2. Certified Electrical Technician or equivalent certification.
3. Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and electrical control systems.
4. Knowledge of automation and control systems.
5. Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
