Job Title: Company delivery Driver

Location: Hamala, Bahrain
Department: Logistics / Transportation
Reports to: Logistics Manager / Operations Manager

Job Summary:

The Company delivery Driver is responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to their designated locations. This role involves maintaining the vehicle in good condition, ensuring all transportation duties are performed according to company policies, and adhering to road safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Transport Goods : Safely drive company vehicles to transport goods to specified destinations as required.
Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Perform basic maintenance tasks like checking oil, water, tires, brakes, and lights.
Follow Road Safety: Adhere to all traffic laws, speed limits, and road safety regulations at all times.
Route Planning: Plan routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations, considering the most efficient and safe paths.
Load and Unload Goods: Assist with loading and unloading goods or supplies as needed, ensuring that items are handled with care.
Document Delivery: Deliver and collect official documents, packages, or items as needed, ensuring they are handed over to the right recipients.
Maintain Logbook: Keep a detailed record of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, maintenance needs, and any incidents or issues encountered.
Report Issues: Report any vehicle malfunctions, needed repairs, accidents, or traffic violations to the supervisor immediately.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Driver’s License: A valid driving license appropriate for the vehicle category is required.
Clean Driving Record: No major traffic violations or accidents in the past 5 years.
High School Diploma or Equivalent: Basic education is required, but additional certifications in defensive driving are a plus.
Good Knowledge of Local Roads: Familiarity with local roads, routes, and traffic patterns is necessary.
Safety Conscious: Strong awareness of road safety and defensive driving techniques.
Basic Vehicle Maintenance Skills: Ability to perform simple maintenance tasks and recognize signs of mechanical issues.
Strong Communication Skills: Good verbal communication for coordinating with staff or clients.
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy packages and drive for long periods.

Working Conditions:

Flexible Hours: May be required to work evenings, weekends, or holidays depending on operational needs.
Physical Activity: Regular lifting and moving of packages or materials may be required.
Long Hours: Extended periods of driving may be necessary depending on job assignments.
