Description

Key Responsibilities
1. User Support & Issue Resolution:
Act as the first point of contact for all IT-related issues. Provide hands-on troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network problems, ensuring prompt resolution to minimize disruptions to the team’s work.
2. IT Infrastructure Management:
Maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring that systems (including computers, networks, and servers) are functioning properly and securely. This includes small-scale network management, internet connectivity, and basic server maintenance, if applicable.
3. Software & Hardware Setup and Maintenance:
Manage the installation, configuration, and updating of necessary software and hardware for all employees. Ensure the appropriate software licensing is in place and manage the purchasing or leasing of IT equipment.
4. Security & Data Protection:
Implement basic cybersecurity measures, such as firewalls, antivirus software, and secure data storage practices. Ensure that sensitive company data and client information are protected through appropriate access controls and regular security updates.
5. Cloud & Remote Access Management:
Set up and manage cloud services and remote access solutions (e.g., VPNs, remote desktop services) to enable the team to work from anywhere securely, as needed.
6. Vendor Coordination & Outsourcing:
If outsourced, liaise with third-party vendors to ensure all IT systems remain fully operational and compliant with business needs. Monitor the service quality and address any performance issues. If hired in-house, work directly with vendors for any required IT services, hardware procurement, or software subscriptions.
7. IT Planning & Budgeting:
Collaborate with management to define IT strategies that align with business goals. Prepare a budget for IT expenses, including software licensing, hardware purchases, and potential outsourcing costs, ensuring that the company remains cost-efficient while meeting its IT needs.
8. Backup & Disaster Recovery:
Implement and manage data backup solutions to protect the company from data loss. Develop a simple disaster recovery plan to restore operations quickly in the event of system failures or breaches.
9. Ongoing System Improvements:
Recommend and implement small-scale improvements to the company’s IT systems, including software upgrades, automation solutions, and process optimizations to ensure continuous productivity.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
o Experience with system monitoring tools and incident management systems.
o Familiarity with software licensing management and cybersecurity practices.
o Competence in network setup and troubleshooting (e.g., Wi-Fi, VPN).
• Soft Skills:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
