Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Cash Van Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving a company van to sell and deliver products to customers in a defined territory. You will play a key role in increasing sales and market share by effectively promoting our products, building strong relationships with customers, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods.
Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Promotion: Sell company products directly to retailers, small stores, and other outlets from the van. Meet or exceed sales targets.
Route Management: Plan and follow a designated route to efficiently serve customers within a defined geographic area.
Product Delivery: Deliver goods to customers on time and in good condition, ensuring proper stock rotation (FIFO).
Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to foster loyalty and repeat business. Address any customer queries or complaints in a timely manner.
Stock Management: Load and unload the van with products, manage stock levels, and ensure accurate counting and inventory tracking.
Payments and Collections: Collect cash payments from customers, issue receipts, and maintain accurate financial records. Ensure all transactions are processed in accordance with company policies.
Reporting: Submit daily sales reports and cash reconciliations to the management. Provide feedback on sales performance, customer needs, and market trends.
Merchandising: Ensure that products are properly displayed at retail locations and support merchandising initiatives as required.
Promotions: Implement promotional strategies, offer special deals, and provide product samples to customers to encourage sales.
Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and local laws regarding sales, cash handling, and vehicle operation.

Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in FMCG sales, preferably in a cash van or direct sales role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory management.
Knowledge of local markets and geography.
Ability to lift and carry products as needed.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience using handheld sales technology for invoicing and inventory management.
Knowledge of the FMCG industry and product trends.

Work Environment:

This role involves extensive driving, regular lifting, and physical activity, as well as frequent customer interactions.
