Assistant Cook Role Purpose

The purpose of an Assistant Cook is to assist the Head Chef in the preparation and cooking of meals, as well as other kitchen duties. This may include prepping ingredients, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, plating and garnishing meals, checking food temperatures, and ensuring that all food is served in a safe and timely manner. The Assistant Cook also ensures that the kitchen is kept clean and organized, and that all food hygiene regulations are adhered to.
