Urgent requirement for QC Painting
Qualification : BGAS LEVEL-II

• To monitor, record, and report weather condition daily basis during surface preparation and paint application.
• To carry out destructive and nondestructive coating inspection (e.g. H.V. holiday detection, Pull-off adhesion test, X-cut testing, hardness testing etc.), if necessary.
• To measure abrasives total dissolved salts TDS contents using conductivity meter, if necessary.
• To measure PH value for abrasives and water used for washing/blasting, if necessary.
• To measure substrate chloride, Nitrate, and Sulphate contamination level, if necessary.
• To ensure that steel surface imperfections (e.g. sharp edges, poor welds, weld flux, etc.) are treated according to the specification and he shall highlight imperfections to the Company’s Representative prior to solvent cleaning.
• To ensure that paints are applied in accordance with the specification and the manufacturer’s application guidelines and instructions.
• To propose corrective actions for any paint application defects.
• To ensure that the painting equipment is adequate and meets paint specifications for each individual work.
• To ensure compliancy of painting and abrasive materials with the Company’s Specifications.
• To ensure proper storage of all paints and abrasives as per material technical and
safety date sheets.
• To coordinate with the paint manufacturer technical representatives as required to seek their advice on technical issues.
• To ensure and plan inspection activities and liaise with the Company’s Representative on all QC/QA matters.
• To prepare and compile accurately all daily inspection reports for submission to the Company as a final QA/QC Dossier for each individual work.
