We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual for the position of Accountant cum VAT in our Accounting department. As an Accountant cum VAT, you will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, data entry, ensuring compliance with VAT (Value Added Tax) regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent mathematical skills, and a thorough understanding of VAT regulations. Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work under pressure are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements.
• Process and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Monitor and reconcile VAT transactions, ensuring compliance with VAT regulations and laws
• Prepare VAT returns and submit them to the appropriate authorities in a timely manner
• Assist with the development and implementation of internal controls to ensure compliance with VAT regulations
• Collaborate with internal departments to provide financial analysis and support for business decisions
• Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably with specific expertise in VAT compliance
• Familiarity with VAT regulations and laws
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficient in the use of Tally accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
