1- Preparing, trimming, weighing and pricing up meat.
2- Cutting and boning a carcass.
3- Packaging meat and storing it correctly.
4- Keeping their working environment safe and storing meat by health and safety legislation.

Butcher skills and qualifications
1- An ability to carry meat and load it into storage
2- An understanding of how to maintain high hygiene standards, including correctly washing and storing meat-cutting tools
