Immediately Required: Work Preparator: 2 Nos

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

➢ Diploma in mechanical / marine engineering or equivalent.
➢ Minimum 05 years’ experience in an engineering environments preferable ship repairing.

➢ Good knowledge in planning and estimating man-hours for all steel and boiler Works activities

Job Summary

➢ The incumbent shall be responsible overall control and supervision of steel work
preparation to ensure that work preparators reaches its projected objectives in the
company’s bests interests.
➢ To ensure safe working practices are always maintained.
➢ To ensure an acceptable standard of Quality, Environmental, OHSAS and Security
Management System is maintained in accordance with recognized working practices and the
Company’s QEHS&S Manual and Policy.
➢ Apply and execute the requirements of ISO-28000 (E) and ISO-20858 (E), ISO 27001, ISPS
related to job and Security management System for the Supply Chain & information security
management system is maintained.


Duties & Responsibilities

➢ Receives work lists from Department /Section Head and instructions for jobs.
➢ Ensure of the most efficient work preparation with cost cutting and time saving mind.
➢ Read the specification and prepare job list work preparation activities.
➢ Prepare initial man-hours for PPU and update twice a week.
➢ Have the necessary knowledge about steel work preparation mainly in ship repair activities.
➢ Preparing material availability and requisition as per specification and update MDR.
➢ Prepare Mark-up and proposal drawing with approval from client.
➢ Preparation fabrication drawing with nesting and passed to fabrication process.
➢ Requesting direct purchase material & General service request and required material and
consumables.
➢ Check for the change orders and update the MDR, PPU, JOB LIST etc.,
➢ Prepare General service requisition for any outside contractor fabrication jobs, prepare
drawing, required material details, requesting, Gate pass preparation & follow up.
➢ Specify quantity control intervention as a when necessary.
➢ Check the subcontractor work done report and approval in feedback system.
➢ Co-operate with commercial in the elaboration of estimates.
➢ Ensure the detailed job description of all works done in steel and boiler service.
➢ Ensure the permanent up to dating of the historical archives of works done.
➢ Guarantees that safe operating procedures and ISO 9001 rules followed by his work
preparators.
➢ Attend daily Department meeting to keep Department Head informed and received general
information or instructions about work or other company matters.
