1. Create technical drawings, blueprints, and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other drafting tools.
2. Interpret design concepts, specifications, and sketches to produce accurate and detailed drawings.
3. Adhere to industry-specific drafting standards, guidelines, and codes while preparing drawings.
4. Add necessary details, dimensions, annotations, and symbols to convey technical information effectively.
5. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure drawings align with project requirements.
6. Revise and update drawings based on feedback, design changes, or modifications.
7. Review and check drawings for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project objectives.
8. Maintain a comprehensive database of drawings, plans, and associated project documents.
9. Stay updated with emerging technologies, software, and industry practices related to drafting and design.
10.Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure compliance with building codes and standards.
11. Assist in the preparation of material lists, cost estimates, and other project-related documentation.
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues or inquiries.
12. Conduct site visits or field surveys to gather necessary information for drawing preparation.
13. Collaborate with the manufacturing team to develop detailed fabrication or assembly drawings.
14. Use specialized software or tools for specific drafting disciplines such as architectural, mechanical, electrical, or civil drafting.
