Job description
Responsibilities:

Tube Preparation and Installation:

Measure, cut, bend, and bevel tubes using beveling machines to prepare them for installation or welding.
Accurately align and fit tubes, ensuring seamless connections.
Use tube expanders for secure and accurate fitting into tube sheets or plates.
Removal and Reinstallation of Mechanical Components:

Safely and systematically remove mechanical components such as valves, pumps, and compressors that obstruct the work area.
Mark and document component positions for accurate reinstallation.
Reinstall and secure components post tube fitting.
Pipe Work:

Measure, cut, thread, and bevel pipes using tools and machinery.
Align pipes for welding or sealing.
Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
Ensure compliance with industry and facility-specific standards.
Maintenance and Clean-Up:

Maintain tools, including beveling machines and tube expanders.
Ensure a clean and organized workspace.
Desired Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Vocational training or apprenticeship in tube-pipe fitting or a related field.
Experience:

Minimum of 4 years in tube fitting or a similar role.
Experience with beveling machines and tube expanders.
Specialized Tool Proficiency:

Skilled in the use of beveling machines for precise tube and pipe preparation.
Proficient with tube expanders, understanding their varied applications and nuances.
Familiar with other essential tools such as tube cutters, saws, torches, pipe threaders, and benders.
Certifications:

Relevant tube or pipe fitting certifications.
Welding certifications, if applicable.
Safety certifications pertinent to the industry.
Soft Skills:

Attention to detail and precision.
Strong communication for team coordination and reporting.
Problem-solving capabilities.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and working in confined spaces.
