Description

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Cook with expertise in cooking with a wok. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our head chef in preparing high-quality dishes for our customers in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Assist the head chef in preparing and cooking dishes using a wok
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables and marinating meats
- Ensure that all ingredients are fresh and of high quality
- Monitor food inventory and communicate with the head chef to ensure that ingredients are ordered in a timely manner
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Follow food safety guidelines and regulations
- Assist in creating new menu items and suggest improvements to existing dishes
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications:**

- A minimum of 2 years of experience cooking with a wok in a professional kitchen environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines and regulations
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
