We are looking for an IT Manager who is motivated about developing and maintaining global IT infrastructure for a leading provider in Bahrain operations.


Primary Responsibilities

Work across the global teams to ensure infrastructure and systems in place to deliver high quality IT solutions across the business.

Lead the implementation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure strategy, architecture across our group of companies.

Work with the IT teams from our parent company to align our IT infrastructure

Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure

Analyse business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs

Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software

Keep up to date with current techniques and develop a technical strategy for the company

Conduct project feasibility reviews of proposed IT developments as required.

Provide dynamic project management and leadership to ensure the successful implementation of IT projects

Maintain an asset list of IT equipment across our organisations

Produce, review and amend Company Policies and Standard Operating Procedures relating to IT infrastructure

Provide reporting to the Management Team as required

Desirable Qualifications/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience

At least 5 years of experience working in IT operations

Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies

Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills

Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize

Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practice

Experience working in an international company would be a plus

Experience working in Education or another regulated industry would be a plus

Minimum skillset required:

In order to successfully perform in this role, the candidate will need good working knowledge of the following:

Google Workspace Administration: users/groups, group policies

Firewalls: WAN ip sec tunnels, administer rules, upgrades, troubleshooting

Remote device management and authorisation: Okta, Intune, Apple/Android management policies

AD Administration: users/groups, group policies, Azure and Office 365

Atlassian suite: Confluence and Jira

Cloud services integration (backups to cloud, VM setup, etc.)
